‘Blonded Xmas’ by Frank Ocean

The Grammy winner gets candid about grief, loss and family

Frank Ocean just dropped a new instalment of his Apple Music radio show Blonded Radio. This is the first Blonded Radio episode since 2019, though the Grammy winner did release some Blonded merchandise right before Christmas. The new episode featured Ocean’s conversation with Dutch motivational speaker and extreme athlete Wim Hof aka Iceman, and particularly explored the subject of grief (Ocean’s brother Ryan Moore died tragically in a car crash last year). The episode also featured a new untitled nine-minute track by Ocean, featuring moody piano notes and a freewheeling rap.

“Me and @iceman_hof had a conversation some time ago when I was in the earlier stages of grief. We spoke for a while about his work, the purpose of grief, and how going into the cold water changed his life,” Ocean said on his Christmas Instagram story.
