AR Rahman brings his pop and rock elements to ‘Team India Hain Hum’

AR Rahman’s musical versatility shines through in his latest song, Team India Hain Hum, from the upcoming film Maidaan, directed by Amit Ravindernath. The song, which was released at the time of the ongoing Indian Premier League, blends elements of pop, rock and electronic music with a hint of sportsman spirit.
We won’t call the timely release of this song a coincidence, but the movie does revolve around the life of a sportsperson. The story follows the life of Syed Abdul Rahim (played by Ajay Devgn), a pioneering football coach in India between 1952 and 1962. The movie also stars Priyamani, Gajraj Rao and others.
