This mythological audio drama tells an age-old story
Anand Neelakantan’s 'Nala's Damayanti' is streaming on Storytel

Popular mythological writer Anand Neelakantan’s latest outing is a riveting audio drama. Nala's Damayanti, which is streaming on Storytel, is a play packed with action, suspense, thrill and romance. This is the Asura writer’s first-ever audio drama and it can be streamed in 10 languages including English, Assamese, Hindi, Marathi, Bengali, Malayalam, Telugu, Gujarati, Kannada and Tamil.
“Writing for audio was a unique experience. Unlike books or scripts that I have written, audio drama requires focusing on how the words sound. Each character needs to have a distinctive voice and this was a challenge I enjoyed writing,” the author tells us.
In the story, Brahma is resolved to destroy the world as he is fed up with mortals. Now it's up to Hemanga, the golden swan of Manasarovar, to prove to the supreme creator that human beings are worth saving. The little bird has to unite Nala and Damayanti and show Brahma that true love exists.
