Amit Trivedi mesmerises with rendition of ‘Manjha’

The musician performed in front of Gateway of India for Global Citizen Live

As beautiful as Amit Trivedi’s studio music is, his live performances elevate every single note and beat. The musician took to the stage after a long time for Global Citizen Live’s Mumbai edition and instantly reminded us why he is one of the best live performers in the country. 

Accompanied by a troupe of musicians, who are a mainstay of his live gigs, Trivedi crooned the heartwarming lyrics of Manjha from Kai Po Che. The interplay of classical and western styles made the music even richer. The choir stood out with their distinctive voices and yet blended into one.

While we don’t know when the wait for Trivedi’s next live gig in Kolkata will end, this version of Manjha is likely to be played multiple times in anticipation.
