Rashmika Mandanna’s recent look in a sari is fashion inspiration for more than one reason. But, first let’s take a moment to appreciate the actress’s adorable way to celebrate her film Pushpa 1 (Pushpa: The Rise) and her character in the film, Srivalli. The violet sari has Pushpa and Srivalli imprinted on the pallu, which is a gentle tribute to the first part of the film that grossed more than 161 crore worldwide in its opening week in 2021, a time when there was a global pandemic. With Pushpa 2 (Pushpa: The Rule) already making a splash on the box office, a celebratory fashion statement is a must.
Now moving on to the fashion yays, here’s what you need to note for your ethnic looks:
- 1. A pop colour sari is a wardrobe must. It adds an instant burst of energy and style
 - 2. A minimalist sari with zari or sequin border in gold or silver gives the sari a subtle yet party finish
 - 3. A matching blouse, be it with sweetheart neckline, choli or halter design, lends a dose of oomph
 - 4. Motif imprint saris never go out of fashion. Quotes, prints, movies or song names — a hint of quirk sets the look apart from others
 - 5. Minimal accessories, understated hair and subtle makeup ensure a chic, less-is-more finish
