The Bollywood beauty’s Instagram post is important for more than one reason

There’s no denying the pervasive influence of society’s beauty standards. There are stereotypes and stigmas. There are set rules. But where there are rules, there are rule breakers too. And Bollywood actress and Kolkata girl Bipasha Basu is one of them. 

In her recent post on social media, the actress dropped a reel of herself, happily flaunting her freckles. While no-mark skin is something all of us aspire for, acne, freckles are a part and parcel of one’s skin journey, and owning them (and flaunting them) is a form of self love and acceptance. Looking radiant with a hint of blush and bold lips, sleek bun with a red rose in it keeping the Valentine’s mood alive — Bipasha slays, inspiring us all to embrace our natural beauty.
