The mercury is dipping and there is already a chill in the air. The mercury is dipping, and there’s already a chill in the air. Tamarind Restaurant has you come up with their Winter Warmers menu — with dishes designed to keep the cold at bay. Start off with their Mulligatawny Soup, an Anglo-Indian classic that is a must this winter. Made from lentils and various aromatic ingredients like tangy tamarind, cumin and black pepper, you can get a veg or a non-vegetarian version for up to Rs 175 depending on your choice.

Once you’ve warmed up with the soup, try the Pomfret Fry and Crab Pepper Fry. The pomfret is marinated in a rich blend of spices and fried to perfection, delivering a crunchy exterior and tender bites of fish for ₹450. The crab is the perfect mix of sweet and spice, with its spicy marinade increasing the natural sweetness of the meat. The crab fry is priced at Rs 475 while the pomfret comes for Rs 450.

For mains, look no further than the mutton stew for a brothy gravy perfect for the winters and the tender red meat adding richness. Served with appam, a fluffy version of a dosa that comes closer to being a pancake. The mutton stew, paired with appam, is priced at ₹450. Non red-meat eaters can go for the Coorg Chicken that is inspired by the Kodagu region of Coorg. At Rs 325, the dish will add a whole new level of spice to your life. Sounds like a feast, right? Head over to Tamarind Restaurant, opposite Deshapriya Park, to get your fill of these south Indian delicacies today.
