Patisserie by Franziska has a new all-day weekend brunch menu that lines up some terrific, Instagram-worthy picks. The softshell crab tartine is easily one of the most audaciously plated numbers. A sustainability farmed crustacean is served on top of their homemade brioche bread along with a colourful dressing. ‘Tartine’ is French for an open-faced sandwich and it can be styled in many different ways. They are usually styled in a Scandinavian Smorrebrod fashion or prepared with a rustic flair.

Patisserie by Franziska gives this brunch number a modern do-over. The weekend brunch menu also has options like sweet potato ravioli, zucchini wrapped cream cheese, salmon tartine, ham roulade, butter-poached ‘bhetki’ and more. Another show-stopped from the brunch menu? The batter-fried shrimp in a lemon and orange reduction.
