San's Gluten Free Chocolate Cake

It’s like hot chocolate in cake form!

It’s hard to find a good flourless cake in the city (apart from Patisserie by Franziska) so when we found one, we had to spill the (cocoa) beans. 

San's Gluten Free Chocolate Cake, made by home baker Sanah Rashid, is a legit choice for those in search of gluten-free chocolate cake. It’s dense, moist and velvety with a crumbly top. 

“Everyone is looking for healthy products and there are few options so I started baking gluten-free products,” says the 26-year-old baker, armed with a hospitality management degree from IIHM. 

The cake has no added sugar and the only sugar is from the dark Callebaut chocolate. It does, however, contain eggs. Priced Rs 900 for one pound, the flourless cake is made fresh on the day the order is placed and has a shelf life of seven days. Some of the other items from her kitchen include a gluten-free lemon sponge cake.
