Imagine the succulent flavours of a Calcutta Kathi roll fused with the zing of Mexican tostadas — that is exactly what this dish from The Salt House’s new festive menu offers. The Kathi Tostada is a flaky paratha with a selection of vegetarian and non-vegetarian toppings. “We always try to bring a new festive flavour to the city this time of the year. We took inspiration from the Calcutta Kathi rolls and gave it our own twist. The open-faced Kathi Tostadas are a perfect fusion of flavours,” said Saloni Jhunjhunwalla, partner at The Salt House. Adding the Bengal to the Mexican, the fillings come in unique flavours like Dim Kosha, paneer with mocha (banana flower) sauce, mangsho with begun salsa, along with veggie slaw and tilapia fillet. Next time you’re at The Salt House, definitely try this eclectic offering.
