Chana Achar by Pickle-N-Amma

Thanks to Rekha Lakhotia learnt the culinary art of pickle-making from her mother and has been honing it to perfection for 30 years. She now operates Pickle-N-Amma from her residence, an idea that blossomed during the pandemic lockdown. 

The star of the pickle show is a classic Rajasthani Chana Achar (pickle made with black chickpeas), which has its roots in her mother’s pickle recipes. She’s been adding a creative twist to some of these family jewels though! This one also contains grated mango, while the spice base consists of black sesame seeds, chilli powder, turmeric, cumin, and mustard oil. Tangy, spicy, mouth-watering, right?

You’ll also find pickles made with other Rajasthani berries. Keep an eye out for snacks like Mathri and Masala Papdi, which are perfect accompaniments to the pickle. Taste now do you know what to pick from the Diwali offers!
