Vodka has some interesting companions in this drink from Canteen Pub and Grub

What comes to your mind when you think of a canteen? Clamouring people, tea in small paper cups, singaras, sandwiches, a cash counter that’s always full and overflowing benches, right? 

But this new-age canteen at City Centre, Salt Lake, is here to change all that. With a juxtaposition of the modern and old fashioned, where the booths are leather and the black and white flooring is offset by a vertical garden… we know what you’re thinking… when did canteens become this cool? 

What makes it cooler is this innovative cocktail that goes by the name Haldi Lagao Re! This (magic) potion is a fusion of raw turmeric and vodka, with a dash of lime to balance out the sugar syrup — all of them combining to form a concoction that will definitely have you ordering a second round (and maybe a third).

You can pair the drink with some ‘nach meri’ nachos, or Pork Dry Fry. Feel free to indulge in some DIY pizza or some sushi. If you’re on the lookout for veg options, there is the Nazakati Aloo, Paneer Aamasutra Tikka and a lot more ready for you to dig into.
