Nothing fixes mid-week blues like Roku Gin
This week, we’re all about Japanese whisky

Some mid-week drinking is always a good idea. But instead of light beers or Bourbons, go for the botanical Roku gin, which offers a more nuanced profile. The complex Japanese gin has refreshing yuzu citrus top notes and a spicy sansho pepper twist. Roku means six in Japanese and the name basically refers to the six native, seasonal botanicals, which complement classic gin botanicals such as juniper berries, lemon peel etc.
The distillation process makes Japanese whisky all the more intriguing since it’s modelled after the Scotch tradition. They’re drier and peatier than most American bourbons or ryes. Farzi Cafe serves a mean Roku gin and you can pair it with some crispy crumb-fried appetisers or something zesty.
