Book sleeves protect books and their spines from damage and that accidental spill. They are perfect for the bookworm who MUST have a book on them wherever they go.

Here’s how you can make one for yourself :

  1. Spread out the fabric (17 inch x 12 inch) upside down.
  2. Lay out the foam (17 inch x 10.5 inch) on top.
  3. Lay out the lining (17 inch x 12 inch) over it.
  4. Line 2 short and 1 long side with pins, leaving space, to secure position.
  5. Stitch along the lines and down the middle.
  6. Fold the longer side, pin it and stitch.
  7. Fold along the middle stitch, lining facing up.
  8. Stitch the remaining three sides.
  9. Turn it inside out, and your book sleeve is ready.
