You need to make Neena Gupta’s ‘misal’ ASAP
The best cure to mid-week blues!

A hearty portion of misal pav can fix almost anything and Neena Gupta’s recipe is perhaps the most efficient way of acing this beloved street food at home. The popular Maharashtrian mung bean sprout curry is best known for its utterly flavourful profile and the actor’s healthy misal will take you just a few minutes to make. If you’re wary of veggie curries or plain Indian soups, the misal can be your next go-to pick.
Gupta uses chickpeas, moong or matki sprouts, mustard seeds, jeera, hing, kadipatta, ginger & garlic paste, onion, tomatoes, haldi, dhania powder, red chilli powder, goda masala and farsan. The actor tops it with a sprinkle of crispy farsan but you can easily replace it with a chanachur topping or even plain old bhujia.
