If you’re looking to shop local for the upcoming Bengali New Year and scouting pocket-friendly sustainable picks, fashion pop-ups are your best bet. Priyanka Chanda and Arunima Sarkar’s lifestyle platform C/O Kolkata is coming up with a Baishak edit, just in time for your Poila Baishakh shopping spree. The pop-up will feature homegrown brands and a selection of indie fashion picks, contemporary metal wearables, sustainable jewellery, home decor, children's clothing, tribal-inspired statement pieces and a lot more.

Santiniketan-based natural dye studio Dorji, homegrown jewellery labels like Piku, The Trinket Store, Goynar Karigari, art wearable brands like Oisani Saha’s resin label Aaranyak, Priyanka Chanda’s ceramic label Gemini Art & Craft will be part of the line-up. The pop-up is set to be held at South Kolkata’s Ganges Art Gallery between April 9-10.
