Kolaghat police, along with the crime monitoring unit of West Bengal police, seized a huge undisclosed amount of cannabis from Mechheda in East Medinipur district on Wednesday.
Five people, including two women, have been arrested. The gang is said to be in the business of drug trafficking.
A case has been registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
