Metro boss
Naresh Chandra Karmali took over as managing director of Kolkata Metro Rail Corporation on Friday. He belongs to the Indian Railway Service for Engineers of the 1990 batch.
Karmali joined the railways in 1992 after working in SAIL for two-and-a-half years. He is an alumnus of St Xavier’s College Ranchi and IIT Kharagpur. He graduated in civil engineering in 1989. He worked in various capacities in the railways in heavy mineral loading divisions like Bilaspur and Chakradharpur.
