Indus Valley World School spreads Christmas joy through Winter Wonderland

The programme helmed by students was attended by teachers, parents and members of Shibasram, an old-age home

Around 200 tiny tots and senior students of the Indus Valley World School spread Christmas cheers by taking part in a programme titled Winter Wonderland on December 16 at the school premises

It was a day filled with fun and frolic ahead of ringing the holiday bells with Christmas hymns, carols, songs and of course some wonderful performances

The junior choir mesmerised the audience by singing popular numbers like “The Little Donkey”; “Away in a Manger”; “When Santa Got Stuck up the Chimney” and more

Frosty the Snowman made a special appearance during the song and helped spread the joy of Christmas

The naughty green grinch failed to steal the Christmas as everyone in the audience was immersed in high Christmas spirits

The senior school choir performed “We Three Kings” while the teachers took part in the event by singing “The First Noel.”

How can any Christmas event conclude without the traditional Jingle Bells which was performed here with a rocky twist!

The programme culminated amid applause for the students who helmed the entire event. From decorations to performances, everything was managed by them

The event was also attended by members of Shibasram, an old-age home

Amita Prasad, director, Indus Valley World School said, “This is not only about a musical performance. It is about enrichment. It is through arts that children learn language, children are exposed to culture, they learn refinement and discipline. So, it’s not just about a show.”
