Belur Math, the headquarters of Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, will again be open for visitors from February 23. The Math has been shut since January 1 following a fresh spike in Covid cases.

“Visitors will have to follow Covid protocols. Devotees will not be allowed to participate in the evening aarti,” said Swami Suvirananda, general secretary of the order. “The gates will be open from 7am to 11am and again from 3.30pm to 5.30pm.”

Visitors will have to produce a photocopy of the Covid vaccination certificate (both doses) and an ID card. Alternatively, they have to produce a Covid negative certificate. The test has to be conducted within 72 hours before entry. “Devotees will be allowed to the Sri Ramakrishna temple, Sri Sarada Devi temple, Swami Vivekananda temple and Swami Brahmananda temple,” said a monk.
