Air-conditioned launch service on the Hooghly

The state government on Tuesday launched an air-conditioned launch that can be booked for Rs 3,600 an hour.

Sagari is a 20-seat launch, operated by the West Bengal Transport Corporation. “When booked for parties, one can get their own caterers,” said Rajanivr Singh Kapur, WBTC managing director.When not booked, the WBTC will run short trips with Sagari. One can book a seat for Rs 190 an hour for a short trip, during which tea and biscuits will be offered for free.
