The Kerala Story, the biggest thing to divide India since Besharam Rang in Pathaan, has been declared tax free by some state governments and fact free by others. Some, such as the government of West Bengal, have even banned the film under the mistaken impression that it tells the story of Kerala’s economic development under communism. The RSS, whose members have seen the film more times than the rest of the country combined, has lavished praise on director Sudipto Sen’s child brain for showing the “dangerous consequences of women deciding whom to love”.

Meanwhile, ISIS, known for putting the jihad in love jihad, conducts an internal investigation to find out where exactly the thousands of women it recruited from Kerala have disappeared. The Taliban denies any involvement, saying “we do not believe in trafficking educated women”.
