I t’s officially Wrapped season. The Spotify Wrapped 2022 campaign was launched on November 30, and the inapp personalised user experience is available to the audio streaming platform’s listeners and creators for the fourth year in India. Spotify has also unveiled the top artistes, songs, albums, and podcasts that made up the vibrant kaleidoscope of listeners around the world. A celebration of the year gone by with the rich aural experience that it brought with it, the gamut of artistes that we got access to, and the way the sound calibrated our lives with each floating note.
This Wrapped season celebrates the beautiful juxtapositions that the listening season brought, transcending boundaries of language and usual comfort. Wrapped, this time, brings in a two-way experience, with the listeners getting access to new additions to your top artistes, genres, songs, podcasts and minutes listened, like Your Listening Personality. It is a new, playful feature that not only tells you about the music you listen to but also how it defines your taste in music. Listeners will get to learn which of the 16 different Spotify-created Listening Personality types they are, based on their year’s listening trends.
Additionally, Audio Day is an interactive story that gives you a peek into how your music taste evolves throughout the day. Spotify has also expanded to include personalised messages from more than 40,000 artistes, including Anirudh Ravichander, Anuv Jain, Armaan Malik, A.R. Rahman, Asees Kaur, Badshah, Billie Eilish, Harrdy Sandhu, KR$NA, Neha Kakkar, Prateek Kuhad, Raftaar, Ritviz, Shreya Ghoshal and Taylor Swift. With Your Artiste Messages, eligible fans will get a personalised video feed with thank you messages from some of their top artistes of the year, with each video followed up by your most-listened song from that artiste, celebrating music and how the road was defined by the songs that were hummed, danced to and vibed to, recuperating following the sudden pause that was the last couple of years.
