In pictures: The Bottega Veneta Cassette bags big-name fashion buffs

The padded Bottega Veneta Cassette has found a spot in A-list wardrobes. From Deepika Padukone to Hailey Beiber, celebrities love its classic appeal.

Kareena Kapoor paired the $3,500 (Rs 2,65,564) with a Rajdeep Ranawat kaftan.

Introduced by former creative director Daniel Lee, the Cassette made its debut in the Bottega pre-fall 2019 collection. The padded Cassette, however, dropped a season later and its puffed-up silhouette was an instant hit with luxury buyers.

Lee, who’s responsible for the revival of the luxury fashion house, introduced a selection of candy-coloured leathers and suede fabrications for the Cassette. Victoria Beckham picked a green Cassette to make a case for colour-blocking.

While Aarav Bhatia (Akshay Kumar’s son) used the Cassette as an errand purse, Euphoria star Jacob Elordi styled it like a statement number at Milan Fashion Week .

Bottega Veneta famously moved away from influencer-driven marketing, which may have made the luxury bag more covetable among social media stars and early adopters. Model Ella Emhoff and influencer-actor Olivia Culpo have both sported the Cassette in the past few months.

Rihanna, a long-time Bottega Veneta loyalist, was seen in a black Cassette while Rosie Huntington-Whiteley picked a pastel one. Radhe Shyam star Pooja Hegde was spotted with a clay Bottega Veneta recently.
