The drone display followed an evening of cultural performances, art installations, food stalls and family entertainment at the venue. Laser displays and interactive activities add to the festive atmosphere.

The celebrations will culminate on Sunday morning with a mass yoga demonstration taking place at Red Road. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to participate in the programme. Along with that, there will be a yoga demonstration on 500 boats sailing on the Hooghly in an attempt to set the Guinness World record.
