Kolkata turned spooky on Thursday evening as a group of youngsters dressed up in costumes and gathered at Nandan to celebrate Halloween.
From Petnis and Shakchunnis to movie villains and mythical creatures, the city’s creativity was on full display

Though Halloween is traditionally celebrated on October 31 in the West, this Kolkata event took place a day earlier
Many participants said they came to enjoy the festive spirit and experience something different. Koyel Bhandari, a participant who dressed as a Bengali bride-petni, said, “Spandan does several cultural activities, but this is unique. This is a successful fifth year of the Halloween show.”
