Sir Cecil may lord over again

Sir Cecil, the amazing galloper from trainer S. Padmanabhan’s stable, is strongly fancied to win the 2,400m Kingfisher Ultra Indian Derby, the star attraction in Sunday’s race card. Jockey David Allan partners the Win Legend son.
The champion galloper has had some niggle after beating, Star Superior, here, in the 2000 Guineas, but sources close to the stable say that trainer Padmanabhan is not the kind who would ruin a good horse for a Derby win.
The exchampion jockey, Aslam Kader, too, rooted strongly for Sir Cecil. In a recorded chat, on the net, he said that the kind of gallop produced by Sir Cecil, here, last week in the company of Desert God — the highest stake money winner in the country — was unbelievable. An unfit horse would break down at that pace, in a 1,800m trial.
