Calcutta: The legendary RCTC turf witnessed a spectacle as Dyf, the six-year-old grey powerhouse trained by Adhirajsingh Jodha and ridden by the ever-reliable  Trevor Patel, claimed the prestigious Indian Champion Cup (Gr.1) with style and authority.
The electrifying mile-and-a-quarter race saw Trevor ride a masterclass, positioning Dyf perfectly in third before unleashing a breathtaking burst of speed in the straight. As Chopin led a brisk pace and Trevalius followed closely, Dyf surged ahead with grace and conviction, leaving the rest to fight for minor honors.
Trevalius, ridden by David Allan, ran a commendable second, the biggest let down of the day was A Star Is Born, who finished a distant third, overshadowed by the much-improved Trevalius.

But the show-stopping Trevor wasn’t done yet. In a jaw-dropping display of resilience, he steered the half-money favourite Dubai Princess to an extraordinary win in the Indian Air Force Cup after an agonizing nine-length slow start. Weaving through traffic like a maestro, Trevor’s determination turned what seemed impossible into an unforgettable victory. Keep a eye on Dr Doom and Winter Agenda.

Trevor began his magical day with an effortless victory astride Sanjay Kolse trained Abhicandra in the Colombiana Plate, leading from start to finish. Simran’s Star ran erratically yet managed a commendable second, showing promise for the future.

The afternoon had more thrills in store. Jockey S Saqlain gave a sensational ride atop Kanya Rashi in the Eastern Air Command Cup, outclassing fancied runners Into The Storm and Malakhi in the final furlong. Meanwhile, Jahzara, who set a fiery pace,is the one to watch in upcoming races.

The day began with a bang as Rajesh Narredu’ s Good Deeds claimed the Unity Cup with a gritty, start-to-finish performance under jockey R Vaibhav, holding off the persistent Veneno. Vaibhav doubled his joy later with Aashay Doctor- trained Impressive Annie, scoring an encore, guiding her to an emphatic win in the Parisian Handicap- Div-l. Tres Bien came with a late run to finish second ahead of a tiring Fresh Hope.

The Vikash Jaiswal-trained Intense Belief pulled off a brilliant gamble in the Alaindair Handicap, with Delhi jockey Varun delivering a pillar-to-post masterpiece. Keep an eye on Banduk Wali, who caught the eye despite finishing runner-up.

The concluding event witnessed Rajesh Narredu’s Asagiri snatch victory in the Parisian Handicap, handing jockey Nikhil Naidu his first win of the season. Trapped along the rails, Nikhil showed nerves of steel, finding a gap to triumph over Amalfitana and seal a thrilling win, favourite Khaleesi never got going at any stage,to end up in the ruck.
