Abishek Yadav, the academic director at GIS, said, “At Griffins International School, we always give priority to the well-being of our students. We are thankful to the local administration and happy to organize the vaccination camp for children of the eligible age group.”

Parents were asked to accompany all the students who wanted to take their first dose of the vaccine at the GIS camp. All COVID-19 protocols were strictly followed, complete with physical distancing, masks and frequent hand sanitisation.

“We also requested the students to carry their own sanitisers and water bottles. I am hopeful that the vaccination drive will bring relief to the parents, especially considering the recent rise in COVID-19 cases,” Yadav stressed.

Griffins International School was established with a vision to be a learning centre that ignites inquisitive minds to innovate and inspire others. Yadav, a chemical engineer from IIT Kharagpur, is at the helm of the institution which is managed by the Govind Behari Yadav Trust.

The school is setting a new benchmark for a world-class school education system with a “safety first” approach. The school premises have 24-hour CCTV surveillance and the school buses are fitted with CCTV and the latest GPS systems.

Student identity cards are equipped with radio-frequency identification (RFID) so that their attendance is digitally recorded in the system. All the buses have RFID readers installed so that the parents get an SMS when the student reaches and leaves the school campus.

The lush green campus at GIS provides an ideal environment for nurturing every child to excel. Its other amenities include an art studio, swimming pool, indoor and outdoor games, a music studio, a robotics lab and an amphitheatre among others.
