ATLAS SkillTech University, Maharashtra, held its first advisory board meeting on January 26, 2022.

ATLAS aims to create a world-class outcome in curriculum, academic excellence, and experiential learning in five very critical and future-ready verticals – Design and Creativity, Digital Content and Gamification, Media and Communication, Digital Technology and Data and Management and Entrepreneurship.

“Our joint vision is to see ATLAS among the country’s top five universities. It will be a centre for global excellence and we are committed to build and to upskill our young adults for the careers of tomorrow as India heads into the Fourth Industrial Revolution, where innovation and creativity, not labour arbitrage, will be at the core,” said Ronnie Screwvala, co-founder and chairperson of upGrad and founding president of ATLAS.

Launched on August 15, 2021, the Mumbai chapter of ATLAS also has on its advisory board Deepak Parikh, chairman of HDFC; Indu Shahani, president of Atlas SkillTech University; Mayank Kumar, co-founder of upGrad; Ram Raghavan, managing director of Colgate Palmolive India; Keshav Murugesh, group CEO of WNS Global Services; Karan Singh, managing director of Bain & Co.; Vivek Pandit, senior partner and global co-leader of McKinsey; Jamil Khatri, senior partner at KPMG International Limited; Anant Goenka, managing director of CEAT Limited; Anjali Bansal, founder of Avaana Capital; Aryaman Birla director of Aditya Birla New Age; Sanjay Gurbaxani, director of Information Business Systems, AMEA; Russ Winer, professor of NYU Stern School of Business; Tim Marshall, deputy vice-chancellor of RMIT University; and Carol Kim, senior vice-president of New School.

The ATLAS Scholarships Programme enables meritorious students from all walks of life to achieve their dreams.

ATLAS now has over 150 faculty members and the number is expected to double over the next 18 months. Over 400 education institutions refer their students to ATLAS and no less than 250 corporates will join the campus recruitment.
