NEET UG 2023: Why are your chances of getting a near perfect score higher

Do you want to be a Doctor? That probably means that for you now the path is clear as to where you want to go and how you want to proceed with your goal. All medical aspirants now have only one entrance exam they must take to get into a medical college - NEET UG. This is perhaps why more and more students are scoring near perfect scores in the exam unlike before, where scoring perfect scores was extremely difficult. But before getting into the main reasons behind this, let's just take a recap for the exam pattern here. NEET is a common entrance exam conducted in India for admission to undergraduate medical and dental courses in government and private colleges across the country. It is highly competitive with millions of students appearing for it every year. The exam consists of 200 multiple-choice questions, and the duration of the exam is three hours and 20 minutes. The questions are based on the syllabus of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany and Zoology) of classes 11 and 12.
So, students let’s begin in finding the root cause behind the questions under discussion here:
NEET has replaced all other medical entrance exams in India, including AIIMS and JIPMER. The score obtained in NEET is used for admission to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, and Veterinary courses. NEET score is also used for admission to some private medical colleges and deemed universities in India.
The All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT) was completely replaced by the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) in 2016. AIPMT was considered to be more difficult than NEET for a few reasons:
The merger of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET):
Overall, the merger of AIIMS and JIPMER in NEET is a positive development for students. It simplifies the admission process, increases opportunities, reduces stress, and ensures a level playing field for all students
With the rise of the internet and technology, students today have access to an abundance of study materials and resources that were not available to previous generations. They can easily access online courses, study materials, videos, and practice tests to help them prepare for exams.
Over the years, teaching methods have improved, and teachers have become more skilled at delivering information in an effective and engaging way. This has helped students to better understand and retain the information they learn, which can lead to better scores on exams.
In recent years, there has been an increased emphasis on standardized testing, and schools and teachers have been putting more effort into preparing students for these tests. This can lead to higher scores on exams.
However, it's important to note that scoring near-perfect scores is still a significant achievement, and it requires a lot of hard work, dedication, and preparation. While some of these factors may contribute to higher scores, ultimately, students still need to put in the effort to study and prepare for exams if they want to achieve top marks. So, buck it up and clear the exam with flying colors. All the best!
