The grounds of the school came alive with anticipation and excitement on December 16, 2023. The vibrant decorations and bright lights set the stage for a momentous Prize Distribution Ceremony, celebrating the accomplishments of students who excelled in various fields.
The Principal Rev Rodney Borneo, in a warm welcome address, underscored the significance of the Activity Based Curriculum (ABC) in shaping well-rounded individuals. Emphasising holistic education, students were encouraged to explore their passions beyond traditional academics.
Highlighting the diverse talents, the ceremony featured the distribution of prizes in categories ranging from sports and performing arts to literary competitions and scientific projects. Each recipient took the stage, receiving applause and admiration from their peers.
Captivating performances, including musical recitals, dance routines and French poetry, added an extra layer of vibrancy and creativity to the event. As the ceremony concluded, a sense of accomplishment and inspiration filled the air, reinforcing the school's commitment to nurturing talent and character.

The Bikash Basu Smriti Convention Centre in Ichhapore hosted the ABC (Activity Based Curriculum) Prize Distribution Ceremony for the school on January 11, 2024. The ceremony, unfolding in three splendid slots from nursery to class 8, aimed to honour young achievers in co-curricular activities throughout the academic year 2023-2024.
More than 600 students received recognition in categories like the Shining Star Award, Rising Star Award, and Excellence Award. The programme began with a touching tribute to Rector C R Gasper, setting the tone for a day dedicated to acknowledging student efforts and talents.
Indrani Sen, a renowned singer, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, adding a special touch with her inspiring words. The CEO and Secretary, Amitava Chowdhury, emphasised the importance of holistic development stating, "I do not believe in only reading books and writing exams. For the overall growth of a student, extra-curricular activities are most important.” Principal Shweta Ray highlighted the stress students face in academics and future workplaces. Stressing the need for promoting the Activity Based Curriculum, she affirmed the pivotal role of co-curricular activities in making students' lives more stress-free.
The ABC Prize Day not only celebrated achievements, but also reinforced the commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals. The day concluded with a formal Vote of Thanks by Headmistress, Atri Mitra, making it a memorable and impactful occasion for all in attendance.
