Indian Institute of Art and Design (IIAD), held its Foundation Diploma Ceremony to facilitate students of the 2021 batch. The ceremony was presided over by the esteemed Faculty and Management of IIAD. Students from the foundation batch successfully completed their first year of design education and embarked on an enthralling journey to the next level that leads to the exploration of their chosen design specialisation.

Foundation is a bridging program, aiding student transition from school to higher education in design. The journey of all undergraduate design students begins with one year in Foundation. The Course introduces students to a broad spectrum of design skills and helps to build their design vocabulary. Students develop essential creative and critical thinking skills and also learn techniques for research and problem solving, which prepares them for their future design learning.

In presenting the certificates to the students, Prof. Usha Patel, Director-Academics addressed all the students and said, “We want you all to be thinkers, inquirers and evolve as articulated and confident designers who are ready to take up to the world stage and complete the task given with the best brains in the world.”
