JW Marriott Kolkata in association with Wings Preschool, organised a fun pool party on a sweltering Sunday on May 7, for kids between ages two to fourteen. The poolside came alive with various fun activities for kids, like face painting where the little ones painted their faces with their favourite superhero logos, Water Balance Art, Squirt Gun Games and many more. They jumped into the pool under the watchful eyes of their mothers and lifeguards.
The main attraction of the kids’ pool party was an Aqua Zumba session by Shakti and Rashmi Gambhir, where the kids had a ball in the pool. The mothers also shook a leg at the Zumba session.

“During summers kids usually come to Calcutta to spend their vacation at their nani-ghars and often don’t find any fun activities to take part in. In association with JW Marriott Kolkata, we organised this pool party for children, which was calming and refreshing in this hot weather. Our Wings’ teachers were present to assist the children with fun activities,” said Neeta Kanoria, founder, and principal, Wings Preschool, Daycare and Activity Centre.
“The Kid’s pool party at JW Marriott was lovely. We had having a gala time. My son got face-painting done and he loved it. The party was very happening,” said Preeti Buthra with her son Kriyansh.
“I think it was such a wonderful experience and an amazing vibe. The kids had a complete blast in the water, mainly in this heat,” said Neha Jhunjhunwala with her nieces Samika and Divisha Kejriwal.
“From the ambience to the food, beat the heat. everything at the pool party gave us the ultimate summer vibes. Apart from enjoying the pool, kids also participated in so many fun activities. We loved the decor of the whole pool area,” said Ruby Jain (extreme left) with her son Aadwik and sister Rashmi Jain.
“It was a wonderful opportunity for summers, especially for the kids. My son couldn’t wait to come here today. I love how they have arranged Aqua Zumba for both kids and moms. I think it was a great initiative by JW Marriott and Wings,” said Sunidhi Siddique with her son Aazan, who rushed into the pool after the picture.
It was all splash and bash as kids had a blast as they dipped into the pool in the scorching heat, under the supervision of their mothers and lifeguards.
“I think organising pool parties for kids during summers, should be done every year. My daughter enjoyed the pool party a lot whether it was in the water or getting her face painted,” said Ayushi Agarwal with her daughter Lavya.
The face-painting corner was the crowd puller. The kids stood in line to get a variety of designs on their cute little faces.
After a fun day, the kids got hungry and munched on yummy finger food like hotdogs, chicken sliders and French fries.
Refreshing mocktails like Petal Talk (left) made with lychee juice, elderflower, fresh lime juice and ginger ale, and, Exotica made with grape juice, passionfruit cordial, fresh lime juice and mint, helped the guests to “From the ambience to the food, beat the heat.
Even the moms shook a leg during Aqua Zumba to songs like Jhoome jo pathaan.
