It was attended by students and faculty of the departments of Business Administration, Commerce, Economics and English

Xavier Institute for Tribal Education (XITE College), Jharkhand, sought to give students meaningful insights into various aspects of the Budget 2022 at a seminar hosted by the B-school’s economics department.

The theme of the seminar was ‘Budget 2022: Insights, Emerging Opportunities and Challenges’. It was attended by students and faculty of the departments of Business Administration, Commerce, Economics and English.

The coordinator of the economics department, Sanchita Ghosh Chowdhury, said the seminar was aimed at discussing the emerging opportunities and challenges faced by the nation and its citizens.

Students Anil Jojowar, Melwyn David, Nupur Jha, Kashmira Banra, Anil Tamsoy and Stanley Kujur spoke about infrastructure, industry, health, education and defence budget.

Speakers were invited from other departments to address students on the theme.

Commerce department faculty Shailesh Kumar Dubey shared interesting and informative insights on cryptocurrency and the legislations about to be imposed in the near future.

Professor Nishit Singh of the department of Business Administration spoke about the status of women, health and poverty in India, the existing gaps in growth and development with regard to these and the allocation to these sectors in the current budget.

Pompi Das Sengupta from the Economics department summed up the seminar with interesting facts about budget in general and about Budget 2022 in particular.

Father E.A. Francis, the principal of XITE College, congratulated the department for successfully conducting the seminar and advised the students to take motivation from the budget.

This was followed by an interactive session with the audience.
