The day following Christmas, 26 December 2022, will be a state holiday, according to the West Bengal government. Government offices, educational institutions, and workplaces will all be closed.

According to the state's official announcement, "The Governor is pleased to declare Monday, December 26, 2022, as a holiday being the day after Christmas for the State Government Offices, Local Bodies, Statutory Bodies, Boards, Corporations and Undertakings controlled or owned by State Government, Educational Institutions, and other offices/institutions under the control of the Government of West Bengal with the exception of the offices of Registrar of Assurances, Kolkata and Collector of Stump Revenue, Kolkata.’

Meanwhile, from 1 to 15 January 2023, academic programmes in Delhi schools for students in kindergarten through fifth grade will be halted. No classes would be held offline or online during this time, according to the Delhi Directorate of Education.
