The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board has extended the application deadline for the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) 2022 to January 16, till 6pm.

Earlier, the last date of enrolment for the entrance examination was January 10.

An official notice issued by the WBJEE Board read, “In view of the pandemic situation, for the greater interest of the aspiring candidates, the last date of online application for WBJEE 2022 has been extended till January 16, 2022 (Sunday) 6pm.”

The board will keep the WBJEE 2022 application form correction window open from January 18 to 20. The WBJEE admit cards will be available for download from April 18 onwards.

The WBJEE 2022 is tentatively scheduled to be held on April 23 in an optical mark recognition (OMR) based mode. The exam will consist of two papers – Paper 1 (Maths) will be conducted from 11am to 1pm, and Paper 2 (Physics and Chemistry) will be held from 2pm to 4pm.

How to apply for WBJEE 2022:

  • Go to the official site of WBJEEB on wbjeeb.nic.in.
  • Click on the WBJEE 2022 link available on the home page.
  • Enrol yourself and fill in the application form.
  • Make the payment of application fees and click on submit.
  • Download the confirmation page and keep a hard copy of the same for further need.

All questions will be of objective type with four options for each. Mathematics Paper I will carry 100 marks, with 75 questions divided into three categories based on the marks that each question would carry. Physics and Chemistry Paper II will carry 100 marks with 40 questions each.

The WBJEE examination is conducted for admissions to undergraduate courses in Engineering and Technology, Pharmacy and Architecture in the universities, government colleges and self-financed Engineering and Technological institutions in West Bengal.
