Teachers to monitor students to ensure COVID-safety norms are followed at all times
Students will be spread across several classrooms to ensure social distancing

Last-minute preparations are on in full swing at Mahadevi Birla World Academy as the date for senior students returning to campus draws near. Teachers are already attending school in batches. The exam committee and the school leadership team are back on campus in full strength.

Every nook and corner of the school is being sanitised and notices have been put up at the entrance and across the campus to remind students about practising COVID-safety measures.

Strict COVID-safety protocol will be in place on campus and principal Anjana Saha is stressing on ways to ensure continuous supervision of students. “When the students return, we will have to treat them as infants and not high school children. They will be coming back to campus after almost two years and it would be natural for them to get excited and they might tend to break COVID rules unknowingly. We will ask teachers and staff to keep an eye on them everywhere, even in the washrooms,” Saha said.

Apart from deploying a large number of teachers on active supervision duty, the classes will be divided into small batches. The school will ensure that the students keep wearing masks on the campus at all times.

To begin with, not more than 50 students will be called on campus and they will be spread across several classrooms to ensure social distancing. The students of Class XI will be called on campus in the gaps between the Class XII exams. Students across all streams will need to attend school for at least two days a week.
