UPSC 2023: Application starts from 1 February; check exam dates, eligibility and recommended books

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is all set to release the notification for Civil Services Preliminary Exam 2023 on 1 February. The official notice will be released on the website- upsc.gov.in. UPSC 2023 Prelims exam is to be held on 28 May.

The main exam for UPSC 2023 will be held on 15 September, 2023. After the release of CSE Prelims 2023 notification, the application process will start and will be valid till 21 February, 2023. Candidates interested to appear for the examination will need to check the website regularly for the latest updates.

Eligibility:

  • Candidates who are a graduate of any discipline and are up to the age of 32 years can apply on the Commission’s application portal- upsconline.nic.in. The payment to be made by the candidate is Rs 100.
  • Relaxation in the upper age limit will only be granted to those candidates belonging to the reserved categories as per the rules of the Central Government.

UPSC also released the Syllabus for both the Prelims and Main Examination (Written and personality test). Candidates will be able to download the syllabus from the notification, once it's released.
