The University of Bath has commenced the application process for its undergraduate Politics courses for the academic year 2024-25. The course is tailored for applicants who wish to comprehend the evolving world and explore boundary-pushing ideas, the Politics courses offer diverse pathways.

Students opting for the International Relations track will get an opportunity to learn more about politics from local to global perspectives, honing skills to critically analyse data and tackle socio-political challenges, ranging from political polarisation to climate change. Meanwhile, the Economics course will equip students with fundamental knowledge of economic and political theory, empowering them to engage critically with major national and international issues, including terrorism. Additionally, the university presents a BA (Hons) in International Politics and Modern Languages, allowing students to study politics in languages such as French, German, Italian, Spanish, Mandarin, or Russian.

Applicants aiming to commence their studies in September 2024 should apply through UCAS by the January 31, 2024 deadline. As part of the UCAS process, students are required to submit a personal statement, a teacher's reference, and other relevant information.

Eligibility Criteria

For Higher Secondary School Certificate holders on CBSE and CISCE boards, an average of 80% across four subjects (excluding non-academic subjects) with 85% in one subject is necessary. Students pursuing BSc Politics with Economics additionally require a grade 8 in Mathematics in the 10th Standard if not studied in the 12th Standard. A-levels or International Baccalaureate Diploma entry requirements are available on each course page. It must further be noted that students falling short can complete an International Foundation Year with Bath's partner organisation, Bath College, for guaranteed progression to a University of Bath degree.

Fees Structure

The Department of Politics, Languages & International Studies offers 3-year courses in BSc Politics and International Relations, and BSc Politics with Economics, with optional 4-year placements and study abroad experiences. Fees for Indian students starting in 2024 are £22,800 per year. Those on a placement year pay £6,330, and annual tuition fees may increase up to 5%. University of Bath politics graduates have found success in various industries, including Amazon, Virgin Media, the American Chamber of Commerce to the EU, and the UK Civil Service.
