Condition your mind

Try to sit quietly for two minutes with a blank mind, before going to bed every day. This will help in the organisation process of the right and left brain and enhance your focus and memory. Also, a few minutes of meditation everyday will help you calm your mind.

Have a well-planned revision schedule

A regular revision schedule is helpful. Visual aids can be especially helpful when revising study material. At the start of a topic, write down everything you already know about the subject. Closer to the exam, transform your revision notes into diagrams, mind maps and flow charts. Visual remembrance aids readiness.

Eat healthy and be hydrated

When study time extends for longer hours, children might feel the urge to munch on something. But you must be careful and not overeat unhealthy snacks. You wouldn’t want to fall sick during this crucial time. So, eat snacks that are healthy. Also snacking on healthy food is good for the brain. Keeping yourself hydrated will prepare you to brace for this extreme heat. Eat fresh fruits and drink fresh juices. Keep your water bottle near you while studying and drink water at regular intervals.

Take regular breaks

While revising and preparing for exams, take a short walk after the completion of an hour of self study. If you are sitting at one place for hours, you might get a backache or your legs might fall numb. Taking a walk will help with proper blood circulation in your body.

Sleep well

Adequate sleep is a must for you to feel fresh on exam day. Power naps won’t make you stay energetic. Make sure you get your eight hours of proper sleep. If you are sleep-deprived on your examination day, you might feel irritated, sleepy and find it difficult to function your brain. It is important to have a fresh mind on the day of the examination.
