Study Abroad: National Overseas Scholarship registration to begin soon; know eligibility and details here

The National Overseas Scholarship (NOS) portal will open from 15 February, 2023 for applications. Eligible students will be able to register on the official website – nosmsje.in. The last date to apply is till 31 March. Under this scholarship scheme, 125 students belonging to the Scheduled Castes (SC), Denotified Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Tribes, Landless Agricultural Labourers and Traditional Artisans category will get scholarships to study masters or PhD degree courses abroad.
The notice from the official website reads, “The NOS portal will open from 15-02-2023 for a period of 45 days i.e. till 31-03-2023 (Mid night) for submission of online application through the Portal. All the desired candidates are advised to go through the Scheme Guidelines of NOS (SC) 2023-24 before submission of application (Scheme guidelines are available on the portal).”

In February last year, the ministry of social justice and empowerment (MSJE) issued new guidelines for the NOS scheme dropping “topics and courses concerning Indian culture / heritage / history / social studies on India-based research topics”.
