A student team from Amity International School, Noida has secured the first position at “ThinQbator: The International Business Plan Competition”, organised by Amity University under INBUSH Era World Summit 2022.

The team named “Invictum negotium” comprised four students of Class X — Vanshika Agarwal, Lakshit Seth, Adviteeya Rajvansh and Saanvi Bansal — and was the youngest team in the competition.

The students created an app called “FinTeen”, which focuses on the financial as well as technical sector of business. The app will enable children between 10 and 18 years to make payments across India independently. It will also develop their understanding of how careful they should be while spending money.

Delighted at the achievement of the students, Amita Chauhan, chairperson, Amity Schools, said, “It is a matter of great pride for us that our students have been declared winners at “ThinQbator 2022”. We, at Amity, firmly believe in cultivating entrepreneurial skills to enhance knowledge of innovation and experiential learning in young Amitians. I am thankful to my teachers for raising such capable students who possess extraordinary talent and keep the flag of Amity Schools flying high by setting new benchmarks for other students.”

In the preliminary round, 12 teams were shortlisted out of 32 teams across the world. In the semi-finals, Amity International School Noida team was selected among the top five teams.

The other participants included students from other schools, graduates and postgraduates from National and International Universities. A series of webinars and training sessions were conducted by mentors, who are experts in their respective fields, to equip the participants with the skills and knowledge to work on a business plan. The jury comprised professors from Harvard Business School, MIT, NYU and Oxford Business School as well as various vice-presidents, CMOs, CEOs and industrialists from across the world.

Renu Singh, principal, Amity International School, Noida, stated, “Entrepreneurship education is a crucial tool for addressing the global challenges of the 21st century. Chauhan, and chairperson Amita Chauhan to kindle the scientific temperament among students and enable them to compete in a global world by broadening their horizons and becoming successful future entrepreneurs. Our students’ victory is a testimony to the high quality of students which Amity schools nurture and we wish them good luck for all their future endeavors.”

The team will get a direct entry to COHORT 1.0, an initiative of the Amity Innovation Incubator, where they will undergo an intense, six-week engagement programme for developing their understanding of startups and receiving guidance to further develop their idea.
