St. Xavier's University, Kolkata has released an official notification regarding the recruitment for various posts such as Faculty Members (Professors, Associate Professors & Assistant Professors), Librarians, Officers (Accounts Officers & Security Officers), and Staff (Computer Programmers). Candidates who are interested in applying for the posts must abide by the eligibility criteria which are as follows:
Age Limit (as on 01.01.2023)
- Accounts Officer – 40 Years to 50 Years
- Security Officer – 45 Years to 50 Years
- Computer Programmer - 30 Years to 40 Years
- Assistant Professor - 45 Years
- Associate Professor - 50 Years [Upper age limit for Associate Professor may be relaxed up to 55 Years for exceptionally qualified candidates]
- Professor & Librarian – 55 Years [Upper age limit for Professor may be relaxed for exceptionally qualified candidates]
Educational Qualifications
- Accounts Officer: Masters’ degree in Commerce with at least 55% marks or equivalent. OR B.Com. (H) from a recognized University/Institute with at least 55% marks in CA/CWA/CMA
- Security Officer: Graduate in any discipline or equivalent
- Computer Programmer (Full Stack Developer): BE / B.Tech/ B.C.A / B.Sc in Computer Science /MCA with graduation in any discipline

Important Note*
For the post of Faculty Member, candidates should have a strong academic background, understanding, and familiarity with current developments and challenges, and evidence of quality research and publications. Faculty members are expected to carry out research, design and teach courses, engage in institution development, and conduct training program and consultancy.
