Every month Edugraph brings you a list of scholarships for high school and higher education courses that Indian students can apply for. The monthly list consists of those scholarships that have their last date in the upcoming month.

This month’s list brings you 5 separate scholarships, all having an application deadline in January 2022. Scholarships Available In January 2023

Scholarships are given out as a philanthropic endeavor to support and encourage meritorious students, particularly those who may not be able to fund their studies without financial assistance. Here is a list of scholarship opportunities in India that have their application deadlines in January 2022.

Gates-Cambridge Scholarship

Students living outside the UK who wish to pursue a full-time postgraduate degree in any subject offered at the University of Cambridge can apply for a Gates Cambridge scholarship. Ph.D. students will be eligible for around two-thirds of the available scholarships, with about 25 scholarships available in the US round and 55 awards available in the international round.

To be eligible to apply for a Gates Cambridge Scholarship, candidates must be a citizen of any nation besides the United Kingdom and be seeking admission to the University of Cambridge to pursue one of the following full-time residential programmes:

A one-year postgraduate course, a Ph.D., an MSc or MLitt, etc.

The Last Date To Apply is 5 January 2023.

KTH Scholarship

The KTH India Scholarship Foundation offers two scholarships each year. The KTH India Scholarship is awarded for the first year but will pay the tuition for the second year provided the candidate scores adequate marks in the first year. A monthly living allowance is also provided as part of the scholarship during the school year (10 months).

Candidates must have applied for a master's degree with KTH as their top preference and be fee-paying students, to qualify for the scholarship. Additionally, one must have finished their undergraduate degree in India and be a citizen of India. Academic excellence is the main deciding factor used to award the scholarship.

The Last Date To Apply is 16 January 2023.

Swami Dayanand Education Foundation (SDEF) Scholarship

Merit-cum-Means Scholarships are offered by the Swami Dayanand Education Foundation to Indian students enrolled in professional programmes. This Scholarship Programme's objective is to assist deserving students who have been admitted on the basis of merit to prestigious colleges in India. For 30% of the scholarships, preference is given to female candidates. Students enrolled in Engineering, MBBS, Pharmacy, IT, and Architecture programmes at public or private Indian institutions are eligible for the scholarship. Candidates must have 65% or above marks in class 12th or a CGPA of at least 6.5 to be considered for the award. Also the annual family income from all sources of the candidate must not exceed 6 lakhs.

Cummins Scholarship Programme

The Cummins India Foundation (CIF) established the "Cummins Scholarship Program” for deserving students from economically and socially challenged families to help them to pursue professional degrees and diploma (in Engineering) courses. The programme has given scholarships to 1739 students as of now. Additionally, CIF helps students develop their soft skills by giving them access to online soft skills training.

Candidates pursuing a professional degree or diploma in engineering at an institution of higher learning accredited by the UGC, the Central Government, or a State Government OR those who have received a minimum of 60% in their senior or higher secondary exam and have been accepted for further study in the aforementioned courses can go ahead and apply for these scholarships. Candidates should be no older than 25 years old. Their annual family income must not exceed 3 lakhs per annum from all sources.

Tata Trust Means Grant For School & College Students

This programme offers college students (up until graduation, except for the engineering stream) and school (Class VIII and higher) students substantial financial aid for their tuition, based on need. Students should submit their applications for the current academic year, or AY 2022-2023. Candidates who are in colleges or universities in Mumbai or its suburbs are eligible to apply. More than one child from the same family may apply for this grant.

The Last Date To Apply is 31 January 2023.

Getting a scholarship is a big accomplishment whether you are in high school or college. And if you are looking for scholarships that you should be applying for - as long as you are eligible - these are definitely the ones you should apply for!
