Sangath Bhopal Hub, a civil society organisation working in the field of mental health in Madhya Pradesh since 2011, has invited internship applications for graphic designers aspiring to spread awareness related to mental health through their work.

Bhopal Hub is offering a two-month-long unpaid internship, which will provide hands-on experience to the candidates and help them explore opportunities in the field of designing.

The organisation has worked with the government of Gujarat to train frontline healthcare workers in providing mental health assistance in the rural areas of the state. It is also working on the study of severe mental disorders like schizophrenia through research and capacity building initiatives.

The hub recently started working with the trans community through its TransCare projects, and is in the process of developing digital courses for the capacity building of early-career health researchers under its DRISHTi programme.

About the Internship:

The interns will be responsible for conveying the importance of mental health through their designs and incorporating relevant information from various resources in their work. The candidates are expected to have designing skills and innovative ideas to create Information, Education and Communication (IEC) materials like online posters, flyers and manuals. The interns shall have their own design and editing software and tools to carry out this internship.

Tasks of the Intern:

· To create visual assets like infographics, posters, brochures and briefs on issues related to mental health.

· To carry out editing and processing of video content.

· Assist the team in writing and reviewing the content for social media and other documentation purposes.

· Assist the team in planning and executing community outreach events.

· Any other task assigned by the team.

Eligibility:

Aspiring candidates must meet the following criteria to pursue this internship.

· Fluency in Hindi and English

· Proficiency in designing software and tools

· Good understanding of designing and layouts

· Understanding of social media and community engagement

· Ability to work as a team player
