The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is set to conclude the registration window for the Single Girl Child Scholarship 2023 today October 31, 2023. Prospective candidates, as well as previous beneficiaries, have the last chance to complete their applications on the official CBSE website, cbse.gov.in. or cbse.gov.in/cbsenew/scholar.html

This esteemed scholarship is exclusively awarded to female students who have demonstrated exceptional academic prowess, securing 60% or higher marks in their Class 10 examinations. Furthermore, to be eligible, the student must be currently enrolled in Classes 11 or 12 in any CBSE-affiliated institution where the monthly tuition fee does not exceed ₹1,500.

The students’ applications, additionally, have to be verified by their school by November 7, 2023. Any lapses in this step may lead to the rejection of the application. The responsibility of processing the applications rests with the institution where the student is currently enrolled.

For Class 12 students seeking to renew the scholarship, a score of 50% or above in Class 11 is required. The CBSE board, in a recent circular, emphasised, “The other details and eligibility conditions along with the online application form will remain the same and are available on Board’s website i.e. www.cbse.gov.in at Scholarship Link.”

  2. Click on the main website link.
  3. Locate and select the scholarship application link.
  4. You will be redirected to another page for application submission.
  5. Complete the application form and upload the necessary documents.
  6. Download and retain a printout of the application for your records.
