Prospective candidates now have until January 3, 2024 to submit their applications, with a late fee of ₹200 applicable during this extended period.

As per the university's official statement, the last date for submission of the online application form has been extended until January 3, 2024, 5PM. Additionally, candidates are required to pay a late fee of ₹200 along with the regular ₹1,000 registration fee. The entrance exam for these programmes is scheduled for January 7, 2024.

How to Apply for IGNOU Entrance Test

  1. Visit IGNOU's official website at ignouphd.samarth.edu.in.
  2. Click on 'New Registration' on the homepage.
  3. Fill in basic details to generate a username and password.
  4. Ensure the username is 8 to 16 characters long.
  5. Create an alphanumeric password (8 to 16 characters).
  6. Click ‘SUBMIT’ after filling mandatory information.
  7. Receive the username instantly via email and SMS.
  8. Fill in basic details and upload scanned passport size photograph (less than 100 KB) and signature (less than 100 KB).

Furthermore, for the PhD admission process, the entrance test will hold 70% weightage, while the interview round will account for the remaining 30%.
