On 11 November 2022, President Droupadi Murmu launched various projects of the Union Ministry of Education in Bhubaneshwar. The president visited her alma maters, Kuntala Kumari Sabat Adivasi Girls Hostel Unit-II and Government Girls High School Unit-II, where she completed her education, and she spoke with students, instructors, former students, and hostel residents. She also spoke about the significance of vernacular languages in education.

Engineering books published by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) in the Odia language, a glossary of technical terms created by the Commission for Scientific and Technical Terminology (CSTT) in the Odia language, and the e-KUMBH (Knowledge Unleashed in Multiple Bharatiya Languages) portal were among the education initiatives that were launched.

The president emphasized the significance of such key measures coming from the union ministry of education as a step toward ensuring that everyone, regardless of linguistic proficiency, has access to education. According to the National Education Policy, the government has implemented initiatives to offer technical education in regional languages (NEP-2020). These actions were taken in response to the observation that many students continue to struggle with the English-language components of technical education.

She also commended the AICTE for publishing books in local tongues to help Indian students overcome such challenges. 'Being empowered via education is possible. We must guarantee that every child in our nation has access to education at every level. To ensure that education is accessible to everyone, without exception, we must exert every effort. Education of the kids should not be hampered by language; it should be facilitated. An educated, informed, and lively society will be made possible by the introduction of language instruction in regional and local dialects,' The President of India, Droupadi Murmu, observed.
