The models of teaching aids were related to science, maths, environmental science, art and craft, and language. Wall paintings were put up around the wall of the School of Education by the students to attract visitors. The event was inaugurated by pro-vice-chancellor Rakesh Premi and dean (academics) Yogesh Chandra.

Addressing the inaugural session, Chandra said, “A teacher’s role is transforming from a knowledge provider to a knowledge facilitator and counsellor because of the abundant information that’s easily available online. Every year, teaching becomes more challenging with the students becoming more restless and energetic. So, it is quite challenging for the teaching fraternity to grab their attention. As we step forward toward digitalisation, dependency on classroom teaching is reducing but the emotional connection between teachers and students cannot be replaced with technology. Teaching aids are just one method that we use to encourage teachers to invest more in their lessons so that students can easily understand the concept with deep knowledge.”

The judges from other departments of the university evaluated the teaching aid models and selected the winners. B.Ed second year students Bhupendra Singh and Rahul jointly bagged the first position in model making. BEIED third-year students – Vaidehi, Khushi, Neelam, Prerak, Ishika and Pranjal – secured the first position in wall painting.

Chancellor of Sanskriti University, Sachin Gupta, said, “Teaching is a dedication and a commitment towards encouraging students for the betterment of their future. I congratulate the proud staff of the School of Education and students for this success.”
